As much as the news of record sales makes us increasingly proud of our favorite automaker here at Lithia Toyota of Springfield, that's only a small part of why we love them so. Because if there's one thing that's more important to them than making the best new cars on the market, it's their commitment to giving back.

Two year ago, Toyota launched a program called 100 Cars for Good. Since then, they've donated 200 vehicles to nonprofit organizations across the country that received the most votes from their fans on Toyota's Facebook page. Well in an effort to keep the giving going strong, Toyota has once again opened up the polling booth on their website where 250 new 501(c)(3) nonprofits are waiting for your votes.

Needless to say, a brand new vehicle can make a world of difference for organizations that rely on public funding to keep their operations going. Such was the case when Together We Rise - a California-based nonprofit - was given a 2014 Toyota Tundra as one of last year's nominees.

"Previously when we traveled the country, we had to turn the heaters on full-blast to prevent our old truck from breaking down," says Danny Mendoza, founder of Together We Rise. "With the new Tundra it just makes life so much easier. Delivering these bikes is so important to help create a sense of normalcy and belonging for foster kids - something that is often missing in their lives."1

With that said, head on over to Toyota's website to do your part to make a difference. Or if you'd like to learn more about how the Tundra can help you on your day-to-day, we'd be happy to fill you in at our dealership here in Springfield, OR. The pride just continues to grow . . .
