About two weeks back, we got word that Toyota was bringing something special to the New York International Auto Show this year: the RAV4 Hybrid. As the eighth hybrid in the brand's lineup, and the first in the compact SUV class, we were excited to see what our preferred automaker was bringing to the table. And we weren't disappointed.
As fate would have it, a hybrid powertrain is just the start of the good news. The 2016 RAV4 will come with updated styling, including a more aggressive front end, reworked back end, and some seriously upgraded cabin tech. For hybrid chops, the model will combined a 2.5L four-cylinder with an electric motor for gas mileage, horsepower and torque numbers that are all higher than its petrol sibling.
