All the way back in August, we had the pleasure of telling you folks about how our very own 2013 Toyota Avalon Hybrid was deemed the best hybrid/EV of the year at the Ideal Vehicle Awards. Oh yes, it was quite the cause for celebration here at Lithia Toyota of Springfield, and now that the 2013 Motorist Choice Awards have been handed out, the good times roll on.
For eight years now, the Motorist Choice Awards have been recognizing the model-year vehicles on the market that boast the highest consumer satisfaction ratings in relation to their overall ownership costs. The awards were divided up into 13 different vehicular categories, each of which hailed a "Popular" winner and a "Premuim" winner.
More than 50,000 new car owners were polled for this year's survey, and, wouldn't you know, they had nothing but love for the 2013 Avalon Hybrid. Not only did it earn top honors in the "High Image" category thanks to its interior and exterior styling, but that wasn't the only "Popular" win that Toyota drove off with.
In the "Active Lifestyle" category, the 2013 Toyota FJ Cruiser also won for the way it caters to the needs of outdoor types. Like we said, it's been a cause for celebration.
